In a victory for LGBTIQ+ workers’ rights, union members at Star Casino Brisbane secured crucial workplace protections and facilities for transitioning workers. After a member faced discrimination and lack of appropriate facilities during their transition, our union engaged in extensive discussions with Star Casino management to establish new workplace standards supporting trans workers’ dignity and rights.
The campaign won several key victories that set new precedents for the industry:
