2023: OneLink Pharmaceutical Supply Workers Win Big After Historic Strike

In 2023, OneLink workers in Yennora struck for four days against wage inequality in health logistics, where they earned up to 7 less per hour than other EBOS Group workers. Their determined action won a 7 pay rise and exposed industry-wide wage disparities.

In May 2023, close to 100 members of our union at OneLink in Yennora, Sydney, undertook a four-day strike demanding fair wages and improved redundancy provisions. As essential suppliers of medical items to hospitals across New South Wales, these workers played a critical role during the pandemic yet were paid 4 to 7 less per hour than their counterparts within the same parent company, EBOS Group. Our members held firm, supported by solidarity from across the union movement, and won a 7 pay increase for the year. This victory exposed wage inequities within the health logistics sector and underscored our commitment to securing fair conditions for essential workers who drive public health outcomes.
