Our union has lead the push to make the union movement a more welcoming place for our First Nations people. Cultural competency training reached 90% of union staff and is being delivered to other unions and peak bodies across Australia, setting a standard for cultural awareness in the movement. The success of this comprehensive approach has led unions from SA, QLD, WA and Victoria, as well as external agencies, to seek training from our union, demonstrating our leading role in building genuine cultural competency across the labour movement.
